Make a Difference That Counts
Are you a compassionate, motivated newly qualified physiotherapist looking to make a lasting impact? Join our dedicated team at The Samson Centre. We are a small but vital charity supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in a variety of ways of which physiotherapy is an important part. We go beyond what the NHS can offer, providing holistic, ongoing care that transforms lives.
Why Join Us?
At The Samson Centre, you’ll work directly with our members, many of whom visit weekly. Unlike the more transactional nature of NHS work, this role allows you to build meaningful relationships and see the long-term impact of your care. You’ll be part of a warm, collaborative environment without the time pressures and systemic stresses that often come with NHS roles. This gives the space to deliver thoughtful, person-centred physiotherapy.
We’re proud to be recognised as a centre of excellence in MS care, known for our innovation and initiatives in improving lives. From Pilates and kayaking to oxygen therapy, weight training, and tai chi, our therapies are constantly evolving and you’ll be part of shaping that future. Your ideas, energy, and clinical insight will help us continue leading the way in MS support.
Your Role
As a physiotherapist in our close-knit neuro physio team, delivering:
- Neurological assessments using standardised tools and outcome measures
- Evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- 1:1 and group sessions to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and reduce falls
- Online classes and in-person group exercise programmes
- Advice and training for members, carers, and families on safe handling and rehab techniques
- Use of specialist equipment including FES, kayak ergos, motomed bikes, standing frames, and hoists
You’ll work under the guidance of our Lead Physiotherapist and collaborate with experienced neuro physios, rehab assistants, gym instructors, and volunteers.
What We’re Looking For
- BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience or interest in neurological rehabilitation (MS experience desirable)
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of fun. We’re looking for someone who is positive and warm but still maintains the highest standards of clinical care
